GB Architecture is based in Irvine, California and provides services in many various geographic regions aside from Southern California. Other locations include Evansville, Indiana; San Jose, California; Auburn, California; Manila, Philippines; Lake Tahoe, California; and Colorado.

GB Architecture is fully versed in the entitlement and approval process with various jurisdictions, including homeowner’s associations (HOA’s), the California Coastal Commission, different counties, cities, and agencies.

Rick Guina, the firm’s founder and principal architect, holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). He maintains a state registered license commensurate to an active practitioner. He has over 25 years of professional experience in the various aspects of the design and build process. 

Mr. Guina’s eye for design has provided a career with many satisfying projects completed. His numerous and varied project types include Custom Homes, Auto Dealerships, Residential/Multi-Family, Office/Industrial, and Retail/Restaurants have given him a broad base of expertise that allows him to work with efficiency and confidence in most fields of Architecture.

His experience includes not only ushering his clients through the early stages of conceptual design, site planning, and programming, but also through the various jurisdictional approvals and construction process, and eventual completion and move in. His thorough involvement with his projects enables him to stand out among his peers and is endeared by his team of consultants and general contractors for his ability to collaborate openly and operate as a team to cross the finish line.

In his free time, Rick enjoys travel, seeing both historic and contemporary works of architecture all over the world. He is also into various outdoor sports and activities, including golf, tennis, and the occasional snowboarding trip.
